Here’s a rad band for you. Pink Reason’s so-called “robitussin blues” is some ultra-raw, soul-scraping darkness hauled out of the black abyss of guitar musics past. Harsh acid-damaged strumming with quasi-goth (post-goth?) vocals that might put you in mind of Joy Division and Bauhaus or Xiu Xiu and Wooden Wand, depending on what you’re into. Would fit in nicely next to the gentler space-blues of Valet.

Mark and I are working on a big feature on new “Lo-fi, No-fi, and DIY” bands for Color, so I’ll probably be posting more stuff in this vein.
