Unknown Mortal Orchestra - so good at being in trouble

I have really been sleeping on this band! This track prompted me to pick up their new album and their first one, too, and the both of them are reminding me how much time I used to spend listening to Olivia Tremor Control. Retro/twee bedroom psych-pop lives! And these guys aren’t just throwbacks, either, they’ve got a lot of tricks in their bag. For one thing, they’ve got a soulfulness that’s really rare in this kind of music. And they occasionally bust out a horn arrangement or some spaced-out krauty rhythms that add a lot of colour. “Kaleidoscopic” is a word that comes to mind.
